Senate Bill No. 3299
also known as Sin Tax Bill aims to restructure the excise tax on alcohol and
tobacco products. These are potential revenue source that will help fund the
health care program of the Philippine government. Also, higher taxes and higher
costs are seen as a deterrent to the consumption of "sin" products.
In line with this,
RunRio Inc. will be organizing the SIN TAX RUN on December 16, 2012. For only
Php 16 registration fee, runners support the campaign of the government to
promote health by discouraging vice and to collect more revenue for healthcare.
